In another inhuman act, a woman was publically lambasted by village Sarpanch and his mate in Andhra Pradesh’s Kuderu village. The terrible episode took place on January 29. However, it came into the light when a video showing the ‘village head’ thrashing the woman went viral online on Thursday.

Reportedly, the woman who is identified as Sudha, was cruelly beaten as she declined some construction outside her home.

Janmabhoomi is a government programme to include people in developmental activities. In the video, village sarpanch Mekala Nagaraju, Janmabhoomi committee member Chandrasekhar and another person can be witnessed thrashing the woman, pushing her down and kicking her.

They also cruelly hit her in the face. As per the locals, the woman was pleading with the attackers to forgive her during the entire incident that continued for almost six minutes.  The police have detained Nagaraju, Chandrasekhar and another person in the case.

As per the sources, the all three people are the part of same political affiliations although they are from different communities.

Sudha, who belongs to an upper caste, denied shifting the water tank from the sarpanch’s place to near her house. The sarpanch got annoyed with her protestation and attacked her. Later, accompanied by his followers, the sarpanch thrashed her.

Initially, the police released the accused granting them bail but later took them back into detention.
