India’s legendary spinner and the all-time highest wicket-taker Anil Kumble backed Wasim Jaffer’s response to the allegation that Wasim was communal when he was head coach of the Uttarakhand Team.
Anil Kumble replied to Wasim that he is with him as he did the right thing. Kumble also said that it’s unfortunate for players who will miss his mentorship.
With you Wasim. Did the right thing. Unfortunately it’s the players who’ll miss your mentor ship.

This reply of Jumbo came after Wasim cleared his name and presented his side in front of people who labeled him as communal while he was head coach of the Uttarakhand Team.
Wasim wrote that he recommended Jay Bista for captaincy, not Iqbal but CAU officials favored Iqbal.
Jaffer further said he didn’t invite any maulvis and he resigned because of bias of selectors-secretary for non-deserving players.
Wasim stated that the team used to say a chant of Sikh community, I suggested we can say “Go Uttarakhand”

Jaffer earlier in a press conference on Wednesday said, “The allegations which have been made, these are serious allegations… The communal angle that has been levelled against me, that is very very sad, that I come and speak about it… you all know me and have seen me for a long time, so you all know how I am.”
