Andhra Pradesh government has released the complete schedule of the interview for Grama/Ward volunteers on its official website at https://gswsvolunteer.apcfss.in/. According to the details, the interview will be conducted from April 27 to April 29. The intimation letter will be issued to selected volunteers soon after the interview. The selected volunteers will need to start working from May 1, 2020.
The announcement regarding the recruitment was made by the Andhra Pradesh government in May 2019. The main aim to recruit volunteers is to boost the delivery of government schemes to the common man. Each Gram volunteer will have 50 householders under them and 50 per cent of the seats have been reserved for women candidates.
The third phase of the interview was necessitated after some volunteers resigned due to the COVID-19 pandemic and some went into unauthorised absence or are irregular in their duties. It is therefore very important to recruit volunteers, especially during these testing times.
The application process for recruitment of the Andhra Pradesh Grama Volunteer position for 2020 began on April 20, 2020. The last day to apply for it is April 26 i.e. today.
