In a subtle hint that Kejriwal could be the CM pick in Punjab, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia during a rally in Mohali apparently made it clear that Punjab voters should assume that Arvind Kejriwal is their CM candidate.
Sisodia told people gathered at the rally, “Vote as if you are voting for Kejriwal.”

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal also hit out at the announcement.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on January 4 had said that the AAP won’t name any chief ministerial candidate in Punjab. Kejriwal said that a new CM would be elected by legislators after the polls.
In Goa, the AAP has named former cop Elvis Gomes as its CM face.
The Election Commission has announced the polls in Punjab on February 4, 2017.
