What Is the Story of Baahubali: The Torchbearer?
The exact storyline has not yet been shared with the audience by Netflix. However, with the title being ‘The Torchbearer,’ it’s clear that the project will revolve around passing the baton, or the legacy, to someone else in the Baahubali universe. Instead of retracing Amarendra Baahubali’s journey, the project might involve a new group of heroes who face new challenges in the kingdom of Mahishmati and are chosen to guard the land.
Is It Connected to Baahubali: The Epic?
The announcement of Baahubali: The Torchbearer came after the recently released remastered version ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, which compiled both the installment as one single movie. While both the films belong to the same universe, it is not clear yet whether The Torchbearer is an independent story or a follow-up of The Epic.
Will Prabhas Return?
No cast members have been officially confirmed yet for the new project by the makers and Netflix. There’s no official statement about whether the star of the series Prabhas or any other previous stars like Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, etc will be back.
