Bank Holidays in June 2023: In accordance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, institutions will be closed on all national holidays and certain regional holidays, depending on the state. Regional holidays are determined by state administrations.

In June 2023, India’s institutions will be closed for up to 12 days. Including weekends, due to the commotion surrounding the exchange of 2,000 notes.

Banks in a number of states will be closed on days other than weekends due to holidays such as Rath Yatra, Kharchi Puja, and Eid ul Azha. Therefore, a total of twelve bank holidays are planned for June 2023.

It is recommended to verify the state’s holiday schedule prior to visiting a bank in order to avoid any inconvenience.

Bank Holidays in June 2023

As holidays are infrequent or occur at brief intervals, there will be no issues with bank-related tasks; ATMs, cash deposits, online banking, and mobile banking will continue to operate normally.

Here is the schedule for the June 2023 statutory holidays:

  • First Sunday of the month on June 4.
  • Second Saturday of the month on June 10.
  • Second Sunday of the month on June 11.
  • The banks in Aizawl and Bhubaneswar will be closed on June 15 due to Y M A Day and Raja Sankranti.
  • Third Sunday of the month on June 18.
  • According to the RBI’s calendar, banks in Bhubaneswar. Imphal will be closed on June 20 for the Kang (Rathajatra)/Ratha Yatras.
  • Fourth Saturday of the month on June 24.
  • Fourth Sunday of the month on June 25.
  • Agartala’s banks will be closed on June 26 due to Kharchi Puja.
  • Due to Bakrid (Eid al-Adha), banks in Belapur, Jammu, Kochi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram will be closed on June 28.
  • June 29: Banks will remain closed in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad – Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad – Telangana, Imphal ,Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kolkata, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla and Srinagar on account of Bakrid (Eid-Ul-Adha).
  • Banks in Aizawl and Bhubaneswar will remain closed on 30 June due to Remna Ni/Id-Ul-Zuha.
