In a horrific incident on Wednesday in Asansol of West Bengal, a 28-year-old pregnant woman was gang-raped by three men who forcefully entered into her house and committed the shocking act in the night.
As per the police officials, the woman who is in the fourth month of her pregnancy was at home and when the doorbell rang in the night, the victim, who was expecting her husband, opened the door and surprisingly three men, one was known to her, barged in and apprehended her captive.
Further, when her husband returned from work, found his wife unconscious. Later, she was taken to a nearby hospital and the police were informed. Commissioner of Asansol Durgapur police, Laxminarayan Meena told that a case has been registered and one of the accused has been identified as Kuldip Singh and woman was not able to recognize the other two accused. Also, after the medical examination rape has been confirmed, added commissioner. The police have started the investigation into the case.
