BHU PG Mop-Up Round 2025: The BHU PG entrance exam for the 2025–26 academic session took place earlier this year through the CUET-PG (Common University Entrance Test), which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Students who wished to pursue postgraduate courses at Banaras Hindu University had to appear for CUET-PG, as the university no longer holds its own separate entrance test.
The exam was held in computer-based mode at centres across India. After the CUET-PG results were declared, BHU released merit lists and began the admission process, which is now in its final stage with the mop-up round.

Banaras Hindu University has made changes in the admission schedule for the postgraduate mop-up round for the year 2025-26. The university decided to give students more time for reporting and seat allotment. Candidates have to visit their department or centre in person from September 6 to September 8.
Once the reporting finishes, the departments will display the merit list and seat allotment on their notice boards on September 10 at 4 pm. Earlier, this seat allotment was planned for September 8. The list of vacant seats for the mop-up round was also shared a day later than planned, on September 4 instead of September 3.
The university explained in its notice that the step was taken to extend the time for students who want to take part in the mop-up round. It also said that eligibility rules and all other conditions are still the same, only the dates got revised.

Fee Payment Dates Pushed
BHU has also updated the fee payment schedule. The payment link on the student portal will now open on September 12 at 6 pm. Earlier, this was to start on September 11. Students must finish paying the fee within 48 hours after the result shows up on the portal.
