In a horrific incident in Patna’s Naubatpur, a 35-year-old woman was allegedly killed after she did not let two men rape her following which one of them inserted an iron rod into her private parts. A SIT has been formed to investigate the case on Friday.
The incident happened in Bihar and the 22-year-old key accused was arrested by the police.
The woman was a mother of four children and was known to the victim.
Although the woman was rushed to the hospital after the gruesome act, she was declared dead.
The case once again raises questions about the safety of women and the extent of punishment to the culprits.
It also reminds the brutal 2012 gangrape that triggered the nationwide outrage. In Delhi, a girl (Nirbhaya, as the world knows her) was brutally gang-raped and killed in a moving bus. The girl fought for her life for days but eventually died.
