Bihar: No Brahmin candidate in Mahagathbandhan’ list, Jitan Ram Manjhi’ HAM expresses displeasure

Patna: Jitan Ram Manjhi’ Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) has expressed its displeasure over the Mahagathbandhan list of candidates as not even a single Brahmin made the cut.

The party’s media in-charge said that as the front has given any tickets to Brahmins, the Mahaathbandhan may face resentment from the section of society. The State Media In charge of the party, Amarendra Kumar Tripathi said that there should have been at least one Brahmin candidate from the Mahagathbandhan.

Party workers have said that there are many devoted leaders in the party who could have been given the ticket to contest elections.

In the Mahagathbandhan HAM is set to contest polls from three seats, its face in Aurangabad is Upendra Prasad (HAM), while the party chief Jitan Ram Manjhi will contest from Gaya. Nalanda is another constituency from which HAM is contesting the election under the agreed alliance.

Congress contesting on 9 constituencies. Mukesh Sahni’s Vikasheel Insaf Party got 3 seats to compete on. Upendra Kushwaha’s RSLP got five seats. RJD is set to contest on 20 seats. Sharad Yadav will contest from RJD’ quota of seats. Also, one CPI ML is slated to contest on one seat from RJD quota.
