The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), which is currently recruiting 1.70 lakh teachers, will oversee this hiring procedure, which would start once it is finished.

The cabinet’s decision to hire 69,692 teachers for various courses through the BPSC is a big step towards improving the educational system in Bihar, according to S Siddharth, the Additional Chief Secretary. This procedure will occur when the BPSC’s ongoing recruitment of 1.70 lakh teachers is finished.
Siddharth added, “The cabinet has also approved a 100% hike in the monthly honorarium for ‘Siksha Sewaks’ and ‘Vikas Mitras.'” As a result, an increase from the previous salary of Rs 13,700 to more than Rs 25,000 per month will benefit about 9,825 Vikas Mitras employed by the SC and ST Welfare Department in the state’s panchayats.
‘Shiksha Sewaks’ will also now receive Rs. 22,000 per month, which is double their prior honorarium of Rs. 11,000, and they will also gain a 5 percent annual rise as a result of this improvement.
It’s important to note that the Bihar Public Service Commission is now seeking 1.70 lakh people for the position of Bihar School Teacher. From August 24 to August 26, 2023, the Commission held the Bihar TRE 2023 for TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers), PGT (Post Graduate Teachers), and Primary Teachers. TRE 2023 results are anticipated to be released by the middle of October, according to BPSC Chairman Atul Prasad.
