Bihar Jeevika scheme Payment December

Bihar Jeevika scheme Payment December: Women in many parts of Bihar are still waiting for their first ₹10,000 payment under the Jeevika scheme. Officials now say the money will reach them by the end of December. In one block around 30,000 women already got the amount through DBT and about 4,000 more women will get it by the last week of December. Some transfers are also planned for November 28.

Ashish Kumar Singh, the Block Manager of Jeevika, explained that all women must start the work linked to the scheme after they receive the ₹10,000. He said, “The Jeevika team will soon audit employment-related activities. Only after this review will the next significant transfer of Rs 1.9 lakh be disbursed, which may take some time.”

He added that women who received the money but have not started the work will be asked to begin soon. Officials also requested women to keep their bank and Aadhaar details correct so the payments do not get delayed.

What Jeevika is Doing for Women?

Jeevika is a big women support programme in Bihar. It brings rural women into groups called self-help groups. These groups teach skills and help women earn money through small work like stitching, farming, running shops, or doing small home businesses.

The state launched a new financial help plan inside Jeevika this year. The first help is ₹10,000 for each woman. This amount helps them start some kind of earning activity. Over the last few months, the state has already sent money to many women. On one day alone, around ₹2,100 crore was given to 2.1 million women.

The plan also gives women a chance to get small loans with very low interest.

What will Happen after the 1st Payment?

Women who have not yet received the ₹10,000 will get it by December end. After they receive the money, they must begin the work connected to the scheme. The Jeevika team will check their progress through an audit. Only after this check will women become ready for the next big amount of ₹1.9 lakh, but this step will take some time.
