Gannaur (Sonipat): BJP MP Manoj Tiwari played cricket amid lockdown in Sheikhpura Unique Cricket Stadium on Sunday amidst the coronavirus lockdown.

As per the new rules of the lockdown, the players have started landing on the field for their game session and among those players BJP MP Manoj Tiwari also landed on the field to bat.

It is reportedly said that Manoj Tiwari arrived in Sonipat to meet someone and he got to know about the match which was being organised in Gannaur, he further showed his willingness and landed on the field to play the game.

Organizer Sanjeev said that all the instructions of the ICC were followed for the Match.

There was a whole system of sanitization and every player was asked to take full care of social distance.

However, in some of the pictures of match, Manoj Tiwari was seen violating social distancing rules.

Tiwari said that all the rules were followed. “It was a private programme. I went there with the permission of the police. One of my knowledgeable had prepared this academy and called him to see and play a friendly match, so I went. The Haryana government and local authorities were aware of the competition. There were only 20-25 people on the ground.”
