On March 20, tens of thousands of farmers will demonstrate in New Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan in support of their numerous demands, including a minimum support price guarantee.

The demands include preserving farmland from corporate takeover, guaranteeing peasant income, increasing consumer purchasing power, and bolstering the Indian economy.

The Sanyukt Kisan Morcha was granted permission to hold a demonstration on March 20 from 10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., following numerous sessions of discussions between farmers and police.
