According to The Mirror, while the divorce battle and ongoing separation are difficult and “painful experience” for her, but necessary, the battle over their canines is significantly more intense.

In the midst of the couple’s separation, the vocalist is eager to return the diamond engagement ring she received, but she refuses to let her ex-husband “seize custody” of her dogs. Britney is therefore extremely protective of her canines.
The ‘Toxic’ singer and her spouse have been engaged for over six years and have been in a seven-year relationship, beginning in 2017 and concluding in 2021.
The couple remained married for over 14 months, and while initially things were going well, they soon became estranged and were no longer the adoring couple they had been.
Within months, the couple’s marriage began to deteriorate as they frequently argued, resulting in Sam Asghari, age 29, frequently fleeing the house and rarely remaining there.
Sam eventually applied for divorce from his 41-year-old wife citing “irreconcilable differences” and has since moved out to live on his own. Sam is said to have asked for “spousal support” and for the singer to cover his legal fees. He is also said to have requested “separate assets and various items”
Britney fears that Sam will seek possession of their two dogs, a Doberman named Porsha and a German Shepherd named Sawyer, based on the final point of assets and personal property. Britney received Porsha from Sam in 2021, while the estranged couple adopted Sawyer in 2023.
