BTS Oreo Hotteok Cookies Launch: BTS fans and Oreo lovers are getting a little sweet surprise this summer, as the global K-pop name links up with the well-known cookie brand for a new limited-edition taste that’s drawn from Korea’s favorite street snack, hotteok.
The partnership, officially shared on May 26, 2026, brings out purple Oreo wafers, tucked with a crème that feels hotteok-inspired and tastes like caramelized brown sugar plus warm pancake vibes. This launch is being described as Oreo’s largest worldwide collaboration ever, and the special-edition cookies are expected to show up across more than 80 markets globally.
What Are BTS Oreo Cookies?

These fresh BTS-themed Oreos are basically a nod to hotteok which is a classic Korean street bite. It’s famous for a sticky brown sugar filling, with that kind of cozy, pancake-like texture you can almost smell even before you take a bite.
Oreo says the cookies were developed over nearly two years to create a flavor that balances Korean authenticity with mainstream appeal.
“In Korea, there’s a national snack called hotteok,” Jin explained in a series of members’ quotes provided by Oreo. “We wanted to share with everyone the kinds of dessert flavors Koreans enjoy.” J-hope added that the cookie genuinely delivers the classic street food known throughout Korea: “It really has that flavor, so it’s fascinating.”

Unlike classic chocolate Oreo, this edition features striking purple-colored wafers, a tribute to BTS and its global fanbase known as ARMY. The crème combines pancake and brown sugar flavors to recreate the taste of hotteok in cookie form.

BTS Oreo Hotteok Cookies Launch: Members Designed Special Cookie Details

According to the company, the BTS members personally contributed to the design process by helping create 13 unique embossments stamped onto the cookies. These designs celebrate the group’s 13-year journey since debuting in 2013 and include member names, BTS-inspired symbols, and the iconic ARMY light stick.
“We ate them as kids, we eat them in the studio, and now OREO is helping us share a taste of home with the world. We’re just so proud to add our own chapter to OREO’s amazing story,” BTS said in a statement.
In an official statement, BTS shared their excitement about the collaboration, calling it an honor to partner with Oreo globally because the group grew up eating the snack.
“We ate quite a lot during this song camp,” BTS leader RM said of the group’s recording process for their latest chart-topping LP. “When we were working in the studio, there would be OREOs next to us. It’s also a snack we’ve eaten since we were young.”
J-Hope commented specifically on that legacy, adding, “When I look at the history of the collaborations they’ve done, it really makes me feel proud that we’re being added to that history.”
Release Date and Availability

The limited-edition BTS Oreos will first launch online on June 1, followed by in-store availability beginning June 8 in participating countries. Oreo has confirmed the product will only be available for a limited time while supplies last.
Oreo’s VP of Marketing Matt Foley framed the partnership in terms of fan community-building: “At its core, this partnership is about shared passion. We’re uniting BTS’s incredibly dedicated fanbase with our own loyal OREO fans to create something genuinely new and exciting. It’s this commitment to uniting our fanbases that keeps us at the forefront of pop culture and demonstrates how a brand with a rich history can continue to lead the conversation.”

The company hasn’t really revealed exact production numbers, but experts expect high demand, because BTS has this massive international fanbase and honestly the whole Korean-inspired food products thing is getting more popular globally, every year or so.
The limited edition OREO x BTS Cookies are available for pre-sale starting June 1 at OREO.com/UnwrapTheCollab, with a retail rollout beginning June 8, priced at $5.49 per pack.
This isn’t the first time BTS has linked up with food brands. The group previously teamed up with McDonald’s for the BTS Meal campaign back in 2021 and it ended up being hugely successful.
