Amid the intense situation in several area of Delhi over protest against the amended Citizenship act, thhe government has ordered the suspension of cellular services in several areas of Delhi.
Telecom service provider Airtel too confirmed that SMS and mobile internet services in parts of national capital have been suspended on instructions received from the government.
“SMS and data in certain areas in Delhi. Once the suspension orders are lifted, our services will be fully up and running. We’re sorry about.”
The suspension started after 10 AM and the telco representative said that they can’t provide any clarity on the duration of services suspension.
Meanwhile, section 144, that bars more than four people to gather at one place, has been imposed in parts of Delhi including areas near Red Fort, ahead of the protest march scheduled from the iconic monument at 12 PM today.
