Calcutta University Result 2019 announced @ wbresults.nic.in for BA, BSc Semester 1 exams

Calcutta University has announced the BA, BSc Semester I Honours results for the 2019 CBCS examinations today, September 23, 2020 on the official website for results – wbresults.nic.in.

Calcutta University Result 2019: Calcutta University has announced the BA, BSc Semester I Honours results for the 2019 CBCS examinations today, September 23, 2020 on the official website for results – wbresults.nic.in. Along with Honours, results for the General and Major examination 2019 has also been declared and is now available online on the portal.

Calcutta University Result 2020: How to check

  • Visit the official results website wbresults.nic.in B.A./B.Sc. Semester-I (Honours/General/Major) Examination, 2019 (Under CBSC) link.
  • A new window for University of Calcutta B.A./B.Sc. Semester-I (Honours/General/Major) Examination, 2019 (Under CBSC) RESUTS will appear.
  • Enter the roll number in the space provided and submit to view your results

The results for the B.Com Hons and General have already been published by the varsity. Students are recommended to check the results online and save a copy for the future needs. The results have been postponed because of the lockdown and pandemic crisis.

About Calcutta University

Calcutta University was founded on January 24, 1857 as per the recoomendations of the East India Companies’ Court of Directors to set up universities in Delhi, Madras and Calcutta. The university was established on the pattern of the Univrsity of London.

Gradual changes have been made in the constitution of the university since then. Some of India’s most illustrious men are an alumni of CU.Bankimchandra Chatterjee, the poet who coined Vande Matram was one of the first two students of the university’s BA program. Swami Vivekananda, aka Narendranath Dutta is also an alumni of the university.
