CBFC orders 10 cuts in Kangana’s Simran including noisy moans during sex scene

The Central Board of Film Certification has asked for 10 cuts for Hansal Mehta’s Simran, reported Deccan Chronicle. Reportedly, the makers have no objections and have accepted all the cuts recommended by the CBFC. Apparently, the word ‘bitch’ has been censored from six places from Kangana Ranaut-starrer.

A source is quoted as saying, “Derogating women by gesture or language will never be permissible under any guideline, be it Pahlaj Nihalani or Prasoon Joshi.” The filmmakers were also told to chuck out the word ‘bastard’ along with a reference to the Muslim community.

Besides, the CBFC has also asked the makers to restrain the loud sexual moans. According to the source, “the sound effect made the sex scene look far more provocative than it actually was”.

Apart from lovemaking scenes, scenes of violence also had to be cut. The echo of a scene showing a slap had to be subdued.

Encouraged by a true story, Simran will hit theatres this Friday.
