Before the crucial Board exams in 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice informing students about an online portal for requesting exemptions and facilities, especially for children with special needs.
Previously, the CBSE had requested all schools to update the status of CwSN students via the Pariksha Sangam system. In accordance with CBSE, CwSN students approach the Board just before the examination with a request for facilities/exemptions in accordance with Board policies during the examination process.
CwSN students wishing to take advantage of existing exemptions are encouraged to make the necessary requests through their respective schools.
It will be possible for schools to log into the portal and view the list of their CwSN students as well as the facilities available to each category based on their disability status. CBSE notice read: “If students wish to avail any of the facilities, they must select the same so that details will be available on the admit card itself, and the centre superintendent will be instructed to make necessary arrangements for that.”
CBSE stated, “If CwSN students wish to take advantage of applicable facilities, the school will complete the application forms and upload documents on the portal between January 19 and January 24, 2024. No requests for exemptions will be considered after January 24.
