Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has published the application forms for the class 10th and 12th private candidates on the official site for CBSE Board 2021. Candidates seeking to apply can visit the official website cbse.nic.in and fill the forms.

Recently the board began the activity of collecting the list of candidates or filling of Class 10, 12 board examinations 2021 forms as well as collecting exam centre related details.
CBSE Board Exam 2021: Details of categories for private candidates
| Compartment Category | Applicable to those candidates who could not pass in the main exam condiucted in March and placed into the compartment and wish to appear only in compartment subject in the coming exam. This is applicable for class 12th candidates. Candidate needs to give previous main examination details for applying. Candidates wishing to appear for all subjects should apply under Failure category. |
| Improvement | Applicable to those who have passed the main exam held in March (immediate previous main examination) and want to improve their performance. The candidate should give previous main examination details for applying. Candidates can select the varying subject(s) for improvement. |
| Failures | Applicable to those candidates who failed pass in the Main examination as well as in subsequent compartment chances. Candidate must give the previous main (March) examination details for applying and must select at least 5 subjects. Candidates placed in compartment category in the previous main exam can also apply in this category, however, in that case, they have to appear in all selected subjects and would be treated as full subject failures. |
| Additional Subject | For those candidates who passed the main exam held in March and want to study additional subject (except those subjects already passed). Candidate needs to give previous main examination details in which they passed for applying. Candidates can select any non-practical subjects excluding those who have already passed. |
| Female/PwD | Applicable to women or PwD candidate who is a bonafide resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Candidates can select non-practical subjects. |
CBSE Board Exam 2021: Steps to fill the application form
- Go to the official site of CBSE at cbse.nic.in.
- Click on CBSE exam forms 2020 link for Private candidates available on the home page
- A new page will appear where candidates will have to enter the Roll Number, previous exam year etc and click proceed
- Fill in the complete form and submit the requisite fee
- Keep a hard copy of the same for future reference
