In the case of a nationwide lockdown, choosing “work from home” as an option may have some concerns about the handling of answer sheets. In order to solve this problem, the CBSE Board will soon issue security and privacy guidelines to avoid any mishandling of the answer sheet.
The board will begin the evaluation process after obtaining MHRD approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The answer sheet will be transferred from 3,000 designated schools to the residences of qualified evaluators, who will correct it at their home. This process is expected to be completed within 50 days, as 1.5 crore answer sheets for 173 subjects need to be evaluated.
“The guidelines on transportation and security are being formulated and it will be released soon,” said the official.
Except for the containment zones, all areas have been granted evaluation permission.
At the same time, several state councils including UP and Bihar have resumed assessments process in green zones, while in Odisha, this will begin on May 20.
“The evaluators in green zones are allowed to travel to the evaluation centres. They are using their personal transportation and adhering to all sanitisation and social distancing norms,” said, secretary.
The evaluation is being held in 20 green zone districts while for orange zones the same will start on May 12.
Odisha’s Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has identified 60 centers and appointed more than 6,000 evaluators to evaluate copies.
