ISRO Chief K Sivan on Sunday afternoon said that location of Vikram Lander on the lunar surface has been found, however, there is no communication yet. The space agency is trying to have contact with the lander.

“We’ve found the location of Vikram Lander on the lunar surface. We are trying to have contact”, said ISRO Chief K Sivan.

ISRO had lost communication with the Vikram lander just minutes before its landing on the lunar surface Saturday.

Who is Kailasavadivoo Sivan?

Chandrayaan 2, which was launched on July 22 from Sriharikota in Andhra Praddesh, was expected to help India make space history by making the country only the fourth – after the United States, Russia and China – to achieve the feat.
