In his letter, Baghel stated that passengers bore the burden of the state’s erratic train operations. Without explanation, trains passing through the state were unexpectedly canceled.

Even additional fares are charged for express trains, which poses a significant problem for passengers. Despite repeated requests to the Railway administration and the Central government, the situation remains unchanged, he wrote.

Baghel asserted that the primary causes were the increased frequency of freight trains transporting minerals from Chhattisgarh to other states and the priority given to freight trains.
