Android 14, also known as “Android Upside Down Cake,” boasts thrilling new features such as “battery cycle count” and “repair mode.” It even allows users to move applications from the inner screen to the outer screen.
This isn’t the first time Google might combine a new Android launch with its Pixel phone release. Two years prior, they introduced Android 12 alongside the Pixel 6 series.

Google had initially intended to release Android 14 in August, but after its beta program ended on September 20 hints dropped suggesting an October release. Thanks to Telus’s post, we are confident that October 4 will be the date.
Google’s hardware offerings include the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. The Pro variant of these devices features OLED displays with a luminosity of up to 2,400 nits. Powered by the new Tensor G3 processor, they also promise improved cameras and seven years of remarkable software updates.
Although Pixel 8 Pro, equipped with Google’s Tensor G3 CPU, recently appeared on Geekbench 6 with scores of 1,760 in single-core performance and 4,442 in multi-core performance, which, while not terrible, lags behind competing devices such as the OnePlus 11 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. In addition, the Pixel Watch 2 and new color options for Pixel Buds Pro will be released.
