Happy times ahead for the single women over the age of 30 in China. The country with the highest population doesn’t seem to be happy with young women being independent and carrier oriented thereby choosing to indulge in delayed marriage.
Reports suggest that to help the single women two Chinese companies have come up with a unique leave policy for the women over the age of 30.
The companies are granting 8 days of dating leaves per year to its women employees.
The two companies, Hangzhou Songcheng Performance and Hangzhou Songcheng Tourism Management, while speaking to Chinese media said that unmarried women over 30 in “non-frontline” roles would be given the privilege of 8 days of leave per year to “go home and date”.
Earlier, a school in Hangzhou in China was reported to follow a similar leave policy wherein their single stressed out teachers will get extra two days off per month termed as ‘love leave’.
In the Chinese tradition if the women are single in their late 20s or 30s they are considered to be ‘leftover women’.
China has been facing a decline in the number of birth rate Due to the younger generation of women choosing careers over matrimony and home life. The declining birth rate in China is the most talked topic these days.
The leaves would come into effect over the Chinese New Year, February 5, 2019.
