Citizenship Amendment Bill: Assam secretariat employees join protest

Protesting against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill,  employees of the Assam Secretariat have moved out of their offices at Dispur in Guwahati.

According to reports, the employees have left all their official works and moved out into the streets to join the protests against the Bill in front of the Dispur Secretariat.

For those unaware, the situation in Assam has become volatile as the protestors have become violent amid the protest. The security and protestors have resorted to lathi-charge to control the angry mob.

The Citizenship Amendment Bill is being discussed in Rajya Sabha by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
