CLAT 2020 exam registration process begins: Check direct link

The online registration process of CLAT 2020 begins on January 1, 2020 by the Consortium of National Law Universities. Candidates who wish to apply for the law entrance examination can visit the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in to check the CLAT 2020 schedule.

The application process will be concluded on March 31, 2020. According to the schedule, the exam will be held on May 10, 2020.

CLAT exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes which is offered at the 22 National Law Universities all over the country.

How to apply for CLAT 2020

  • Step 1: Go to the official website i.e., consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Step 2: Click on the link “CLAT 2020”
  • Step 3: A new page will be displayed
  • Step 4: Click on the registration link
  • Step 5: Firstly, register yourself
  • Step 6: Then, using login details fill up the application form and make a payment
  • Step 7: Click on submit

Important dates of CLAT 2020

  • Opening date of application form- January 1, 2020
  • Closing date of application form- March 31, 2020
  • CLAT 2020 exam date- May 10, 2020
  • Uploading of answer keys- May 11, 2020
  • Inviting objections- May 12 to 15, 2020
  • Notification of final answer key- May 18, 2020
  • Declaration of the final results- May 24, 2020

The paper will be set based on the 12th standard level of students appearing for CLAT 2020. The quantitative analysis will be 10th standard mathematics content-based.

The exam will be of 200 marks and will be multiple choice question (MCQ) based. The syllabus of the exam consists of English language, Current affairs including general knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.

Each paper will either comprise of 40 marks questions or 50 marks question.

The candidates who secure 40 percent (35 percent in the case of SC, ST and PWD) marks in the objective type test will be qualified. There shall be 100 objective type questions. For more related details, candidates can visit the official site of CLAT.

Each wrong answer includes a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
