The promotion list for BCCL’s 1300 employees has been prepared. The list will be released today, Tuesday, Coal India’s founding day. Non-executives are promoted at BCCL on Coal India Foundation Day. According to official sources, a promotion list of 1300 people has been prepared so far.
Some other employees must be promoted. Names will be added to the list as they come in. Some personnel may also receive notification of promotion later on. Approximately 1700 employees are expected to be promoted. On the first Coal India Foundation Day, more than three thousand coal workers in BCCL were promoted in a single lump sum.
The number of employees promoted is decreasing due to a labour shortage and a surplus of labour. According to the current BCCL manpower budget, there are approximately 8,000 coal workers surplus. On the occasion of Coal India Foundation Day, several programmes will be held at BCCL on Tuesday. At the same time, the Coal Minister will speak at the Coal India Headquarters programme. On Tuesday, the CEOs of all subsidiaries will also be in Kolkata. In addition, the Coal Minister will meet with the CEOs of Coal India and its subsidiaries. On-the-spot discussions about the coal sector’s future plans are possible.
