Colony Box Office Collection:The South Korean box office has found its newest phenomenon. Director Yeon Sang Ho’s latest thriller “Colony” has officially become the fastest film released in 2026 to surpass 2 million moviegoers in Korea, continuing its explosive theatrical run and cementing itself as one of the year’s biggest cinematic successes.

According to the Korean Film Council’s Korean Box Office Information System (KOBIS), Colony crossed the 2 million admissions mark within just five days of release. The film achieved the milestone faster than several major 2026 releases, including “The King’s Warden,” “Salmokji: Whispering Water,” and “Project Hail Mary.”

The achievement comes only days after the movie already became the fastest 2026 film to surpass 1 million moviegoers, highlighting the overwhelming response from audiences across South Korea. Colony hit the 1 million mark in under four days after it first premiered on May 21, 2026.
