Congress declares 155 candidates for Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh: Six ministers of Kamal Nath cabinet to be removed

Congress party on Saturday declared first list of candidates for Madhya Pradesh polls, including 155 names. Eminent leaders KP Singh from Pichhore, Jitu Patwari from Rau, Arif Aqueel from Bhopal North, Dr Govind Singh from Lahar and Ajay Singh from Churhat are included in the list. The decision of declaring candidates in the Central Election Committee took place after several meetings between the party’s leaders from the state and senior central leaders. List mainly comprises of several sitting MLAs of Congress in state.

Congress has not declared candidate for Govindpura seat and list does not include either State Congress Chief Kamal Nath and senior leader Jyotiraditya Scindia. Congress is trying to end its 15 years of exile and anti-incumbency is evident in the state.  Voting will be held on November 28 in Madhya Pradesh and results will be declared on December 11.
