The Delhi government has decided to cancel all upcoming semester and final year exams in all the state government-run universities due to the Covid-19 situation, said Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today. “In light of the major disruptions caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, Delhi govt has decided to cancel all Delhi state university exams including final exams,” he wrote on Twitter along with a video message.

Amid the rising number of corona-infected persons in Jharkhand, state chief minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren's samples were collected for coronavirus testing today. The chief minister is already in home quarantine. An official of the chief minister's office (CMO) said the samples of police officials and personnel working in the CMO, including the CM's security adviser Abhishek Prasad and senior emergency secretary Sunil Srivastava, have also been collected for examination.
Indonesia reported 1,671 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the total count to 74,018, Health Ministry official Achmad Yurianto said. Fatalities from the virus rose by 66 on Saturday, bringing the total tally to 3,535, he said, while 34,719 people have recovered.
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has demanded the setting up of an Indian Medical Service (IMS), on the lines of IAS, IPS and IFS, to bring about a drastic change in the healthcare sector, the doctors' body said. The IMA feels that there is a dire need for a drastic change in health administration which can be realised by raising a new cadre of administrators, it said in a statement.
The Philippines' health ministry reported 12 new coronavirus deaths and 1,387 additional infections. In a bulletin, the ministry said total deaths have increased to 1,372 while confirmed cases have reached 54,222.
"No exams will be conducted for students for all universities across the state. The students will be evaluated on previous exams. The decision applies to third-year students as well," said Manish Sisodia in a presser.
