Cricket Australia is keen on hosting an India-Pakistan Test series: Cricket Australia has reaffirmed its interest in hosting a Test series between India and Pakistan, contingent upon the two neighboring Asian countries reaching a mutually agreeable neutral venue for future matches.

Since 2012–13, India and Pakistan have not engaged in a bilateral series as a result of the diplomatic frost that has surrounded the two countries. They only exchange trumpets during ICC and continental competitions.

We are planning Australian tours for both India and Pakistan in November of this year.

Pakistan and the hosts will play three ODIs and Twenty20Is before India’s five-test series.

After India and Pakistan’s 2022 T20 World Cup match at the MCG, which drew over one lakh fans, the Melbourne Cricket Club and the Victorian government indicated an interest in hosting bilateral matches.

“I believe that whoever was at the MCG for the India-Pakistan match will remember it as one of the most memorable occasions of their lives,” CA CEO Nick Hockley told ESPNCricinfo. “That goes beyond mere sports events.”

The contest has generated interest among people. If the opportunity presents itself, we would be delighted to serve as hosts. We would love to play a role if we had the means to do so.

“We are ecstatic to be hosting Pakistan.” We are ecstatic to be hosting India. If we can be of assistance, that would be fantastic. But I believe that is, in many respects, a bilateral series. “In reality, that responsibility lies with others to ensure its realization.”

CA scheduling head Peter Roach stated the organization would host a Pakistan-India tri-series of ODIs like 1999-2000. However, he recognized that fitting a series into an already full calendar would be difficult.

A tri-series is absent from FTP. We are always interested in matches and competitions that will capture our fans. Every nation wants India and Pakistan to compete domestically.

We have declared that we are among the nations that have asked. The schedules don’t allow that just now. We will inform them of any future opportunities, but we will not change the schedule.
