Crowd gathered for village fair in Karnataka, panchayat development officer who gave permission suspended

The people are seen standing pretty much close to each other and the social distancing norms were also not followed over there.

A huge gathering of people was encountered at the Kolagondanahalli village of Ramanagara for a village fair. According to an ANI update, the villagers had taken permission for the gathering from Panchayat Development Officer NC Kalmatt. He has reportedly been suspended by Ramanagara Dy Commissioner following a report by Tehsildar.

According to the images shared by ANI of the event, the people are seen standing pretty much close to each other and the social distancing norms were also not followed over there.

The country is battling with the coronavirus and the nation has been put under the lockdown, whereas there are places in which people are breaking the lockdown rules.

The similar event took place at the Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district on Tuesday where the huge crown was gathered to welcome the Jain Monk Paramansagar in Banda. People were violating the social distancing norms

Praveen Bhuria, ASP Sagar mentioned that directions have been given to investigate and take action against organisers if social distancing norms and section-144 were violated.

The other incident took place in Uttarakhand where a number of people gathered to pray even before the opening of the portals of Badrinath temple and the people were seen violating the lockdown.

Ahead of the scheduled date for the opening of the portals of the Badrinath temple, religious ceremonies were held on Wednesday at the Narsingh temple in Joshimath.

The devotees in the special pooja can be seen violating the lockdown rules and social distancing norms.
