New Delhi: A museum showcasing the culture of Uttar Pradesh will come up soon in Gorakhpur district, Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said on Tuesday.
“…The upcoming museum will highlight the life of Guru Gorakhnath. This will help to strengthen the culture of the region,” Sharma added while addressing a press conference here.
The Minister stated that he had a meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath two days back where he had proposed the museum.

Sharma also mentioned that two more museums have been finalised in Uttar Pradesh — one at Allahabad and the other at Ayodhya.
“The museum at Allahabad will highlight the famous Kumbh Mela and at Ayodhya we will have a museum on Lord Ram which will be presented through virtual medium,” the Minister said.
“The work has already begun and we are hoping that it will be made open for public very soon,” he added.
Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency was earlier represented by Adityanath who has been a five time MP from the region.
