Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) is now out with some new measures that help you to ease your life as it has announced today that it has launched a doorstep baggage transfer facility for passengers flying to and from Delhi Airport.
After some of the successful trial, the facility has been officially launched at Terminal 3.
The service has been introduced in collaboration with Bengaluru-based CarterX’, as part of DIAL’s endeavour to provide a world-class experience to its passengers.
This doorstep baggage pick-up, drop services facility has been officially launched at Terminal 3 for both international and domestic flights. According to the airport, the service will be extended further to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport.
Here are some of the steps to vail the doorstep baggage pick-up and drop services:
Step 1: The Passenger can avail the booking through CarterX website or app or counters at the Delhi airport for the baggage to be picked from their home.
Step 2: Each bag which has been opted to be booked is then secured in a separate tamper-resistant sealable bags, which are marked and bar-coded for easy identification.
Step 3: On arrival, passengers can collect their baggage at the departure area and proceed for check-in.
Step 4: For the luggage to be sent from the airport, passengers can book the service online or at the baggage pick-up and drop counter, located at Terminal 3.
Step 5: At present, the booking is available only through the website of CarterX or its mobile application, but it will soon also be available at Delhi airport’s website.
