After losing Harry Brook not long ago, Delhi Capitals’ fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has been ruled out of the tournament as well. The IPL 2024 starts in eight days and Delhi Capitals have already lost two important overseas players. With just eight days left until their first match of the season, the injury comes at the worst possible time.
IPL 2022 auctioned Ngidi to Delhi for INR 50 lakh. He has picked up 25 wickets in 14 matches of the IPL with Delhi Capitals. The 27-year-old is a skilled bowler with the new ball and handy at the death. This year, he was expected to assist his South African teammate Anrich Nortje.

Known for his explosive batting style, Fraser-McGurk has joined Delhi Capitals for INR 50 lakh. He generally bats at the top order and can take full advantage of the powerplay restrictions. He has been doing well lately. The youngster scored a century off 29 balls for South Australia in October 2023, breaking the record of AB de Villiers for the fastest List A century.
In the Big Bash League 2023-24, he scored 257 runs in eight innings with an average of 32.12 and a strike rate of 158.64. He hit 41 off 18 balls in just his second One Day International against West Indies.
Delhi Capitals have already been reported to be in talks with Jake Fraser-McGurk. It could be a game-changing moment in his career. Following the death of his grandmother, Harry Brook pulled out of the IPL 2024 to spend time with his family. In the IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals will play Punjab Kings at Mullanpur on March 23.
