Delhi Metro Timings Changed for UPSC Prelims 2026:Candidates appearing for the renowned UPSC Civil Services Examination Prelims 2026 in Delhi-NCR will get extra transport support this Sunday. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced updated metro timings on a few routes so aspirants can reach their exam centres on time.

According to official updates, Delhi Metro trains will begin operations earlier than usual on Sunday morning across important corridors frequently used by UPSC candidates. The move comes amid expected heavy commuter movement across the national capital region for the nationwide examination.

As per reports, metro services on several major lines will commence from 6:00 AM on Sunday instead of the regular Sunday schedule. Trains will also run at shorter intervals during the early hours to accommodate the surge in passengers.

The early services are likely to benefit candidates travelling on major Delhi Metro corridors including:

  • Blue Line
  • Violet Line

The DMRC has previously implemented similar arrangements during competitive examinations and large-scale public events to ensure smooth transportation.

The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination is one of India’s largest competitive exams, attracting lakhs of candidates across multiple centres in Delhi and NCR. With many students dependent on public transport, especially metro connectivity, the revised timings are aimed at reducing last-minute travel stress
