On Wednesday, an e-rickshaw driver was hit by a speeding tempo and left to bleed to death. Captured on a CCTV camera, no one stopped to help 40-year-old Matibool, barring a thief who paused to steal his mobile phone. Several people are seen walking by and even examining him, but no help is offered. The incident happened in Subhash Nagar, Delhi.

The video captures people passing by ignoring the man, until police finally take him to a hospital. The driver of the tempo is seen in the beginning examining the body before driving off.

Matibool, from West Bengal, was a father of four. He worked two jobs, and was returning home at 5.30 AM after an overnight shift. He was an e-rickshaw driver during the day and worked as a security guard at night. After being hit by the tempo, he hit a pole and collapsed. The police arrived only at around 7 AM. Doctors confirmed that Matibool died of excessive bleeding.

The police are on the lookout for the tempo driver and the man caught stealing his phone.
