Delhi Violence: Chand Bagh Muslims protect temple by forming human chain

After three days of violence, which caused havoc in northeast Delhi, a glimpse of universal brotherhood can be seen when the residents of Chandbagh gave a message of harmony and brotherhood by saving a temple that was on the verge of being vandalised.

An elderly man and several other local residents formed a human chain around a temple and saved it.

A local resident said, “We ensured that nothing happens to the temple, no damage shall be done to the shops of our Hindu brothers.”

Another example of Hindu Muslim Unity was on proper display in Muslims dominated Maujpur where the people from the minority community were seen guarding a temple.

People sat outside the temple to stop rioters from outside who can cause damage to the temple.

Gaurav a resident nearby Welcome metro station states, “We are looking after both security forces and needy people by giving them food and water. Following the situation going violent in these places many shops have been shut.”

Residents of Seelampur were one of the worst affected areas in the violence that caused havoc in northeast Delhi, residents showed a gesture of solidarity by offering food and tea to the security forces deployed there.
