Delhi: Woman jumps in font of running metro at Yellow line; dies

Metro was going towards Samyapur Badli and services were briefly disrupted on Yellow line due to the incident.

Another tragic incident of suicide at Delih Metro has come to light on Monday where a young woman jumped in front of the running train at Tegh Bahadur Metro station. The woman identified as Aisa Khan, was a resident of Roshanara Gardens in New Delhi’s Shakti Nagar area.

Upon receiving the information at about 8:45 AM, the Azadpur Metro Police rushed the sport and tried to control the situation. The deceased was rushed to Bara Hindu Rao hospital after she was found on the tracks, but was pronounced dead by the doctors.

No suicide note was found at the spot although police found one mobile number from her handbag. Efforts are being made to fix the further identity of the deceased.
