BJP government’s demonetisation scheme of scrapping high-value currency notes in order to solve the problem of black money in India had a critical impact on the majority of the population in the country, said former Union minister P Chidambaram.
Addressing a discussion on ‘Demonetisation scheme’, he claimed that the ban on high-value currency notes had affected normal life and most people were facing troubles, as per Indian Express reports.
Chidambaram charged Modi of overtaking the role of the RBI Prime Minister Narendra Modi in implementing the note ban. He said the scheme solely benefited the private banks and government causing common men and small business in a major inconvenience. He further added that the scheme could have been implemented properly. All India Congress Committee member and Chidambaram’s son Karti Chidambaram also spoke on the same issue.
