Dipika Kakar clears air on new show: Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum not based on Madhuri Dixit-Dr Shriram Nene’s story

Dipika Kakar, after winning Bigg Boss Season 12 will be next seen in Sandiip Sickand’s new romantic drama on Star Plus titled ‘ Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’. The show is based on the love story of a leading surgeon and an actress. Quite naturally, everyone thought it would be based on the life of Madhuri Dixit and her husband Dr Shriram Nene, but Dipika has quashed these rumours.

Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum is the mature love story between two individuals who decide to give love another chance. They happen to be a surgeon and an actress. Dipika, who plays the lead Sonakshi in the show spoke about her role, “The script is very fresh and when I heard it for the first time it instantly got me excited. But the biggest thing was the belief that Sandiip had in me when he gave me the narration and after I came out of Big Boss, we met and he said that he sees his Sonakshi in me. So when such a senior person believes in you, it matters a lot.”

However, she has dispelled any rumours suggesting that her character is shaped after Madhuri Dixit’s and Karan V Grover’s after Dr Shriram Nene. She said that the love story is indeed unique and the resemblance to Madhuri and Sriram Nene’s marriage is just a co-incidence.

Madhuri Dixit is currently on a vacation with her husband and kids in Tuscany,Italy.

She was last seen in the film Total Dhamaal and Karan Johar’s Kalank, where she played the role of a nautch girl, Bahaar Begum. Even though the film did not perform well at the box-office, it was her role that grabbed eyeballs and was appreciated by the critics and the audiences alike.
