Disha Patani, who was last seen opposite Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 2, may join Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2. Jacqueline Fernandez played the female lead in the 2014 film, which also marked Nadiadwala’s directorial debut. While the director-producer chose not to comment, a source told Mumbai Mirror that she is in the running for the sequel.
The source added that Nadiadwala and Patani are also discussing others scripts. This includes Baaghi 3, which will see Shroff reprise his role as Ronnie. The actor had made the film’s announcement in December but no other details related to the story and casting were revealed.
Patani’s character in Baaghi 2 had committed suicide and the source said that the third instalment will not pick up from where the last one ended but will have an entirely different storyline. “She will feature in at least one of the two films if not both,” claimed the source.
Patani made her Bollywood debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. She will essay the role of a trapeze artist in Salman Khan’s Bharat for which she has been undergoing rigorous preparations. It was reported that she has been roped in for Tamil director Sundar C’s magnum opus Sanghamitra.
