Dry days ahead in Delhi? Liquor shops to remain closed amidst coronavirus pandemic?

The coronavirus pandemic has caused a lot of havoc all around the world. With rising cases and increasing deaths, many countries have gotten in a perpetual lockdown due to the pandemic. But will there be a dry day because of it in Delhi? On Thursday Kerala’s Mallapuram declared a dry day in wake of COVID19 outbreak.

The total number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 166 today after a record number of fresh cases reported from the various parts of the country.

Maharashtra is the worst affected state with the maximum number of cases. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total tally includes 141 Indian nationals and 25 foreigners.

It needs to be mentioned a lot of new updates have come up today, on Thursday related to COVID19. The Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has urged students to keep indoors, the CBSE exams have gotten cancelled. Universities, Schools and govt institutions of Delhi have been advised to stay in lockdown till March 31. The Union Govt has even advised the state governments to enforce work from home in private sector work.

The Union govt has also advised people to stock ration supplies and other essentials for further use. Till now there is no official news of Delhi having dry days. But there are chances that the govt declares it soon.
