e-Aadhaar App Launch: The Government of India is making a new mobile app for Aadhaar users. The app is being made by the Unique Identification Authority of India, UIDAI. This app will let people update their personal details from their phones without going to Aadhaar centers.

People will be able to change their name, address, date of birth, and other details easily. The app is not ready yet, but officials say it should launch very soon, probably by the end of this year. The goal is to make updating Aadhaar simple and fast using just one digital app.

How the App Works?

The app will let people do many Aadhaar tasks right from their phones. It will use Artificial Intelligence and Face ID to make things safe and secure. After the app launches, people will only need to visit Aadhaar centers for biometric things like fingerprint or iris scans. The app will reduce the need for paper forms, make the process faster, and lower the risk of identity fraud.

UIDAI will also make it easy to check documents. The app can fetch verified information from government sources automatically. This includes birth certificates, PAN cards, passports, driving licenses, ration cards, and MNREGA records. Even electricity bills may be used to confirm addresses. This will make updating details faster and easier.

Aadhaar Good Governance Portal

The government also has the Aadhaar Good Governance Portal, made by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. This portal helps people get approval for Aadhaar authentication requests quickly. It makes submitting requests and clearing them much simpler.

The portal is part of the plan to make Aadhaar services easier to use for everyone in India and to include more people in the system.
