While speaking for the first time after his resignation as a revenue minister following series of allegations, Eknath Khadse, veteran BJP politician from Maharashtra, said on Thursday that the country would shake if he opened his mouth.
Khadse was compelled to quit for his alleged connection with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. He is also accused of being involved in an illegal land deal.
Khadse claimed that it is a deep rooted conspiracy against him and he is well aware of those behind it. Though not taking anyone’s name in particular, he said that there are some traitors in the party and before attacking outsiders the party needs to fix these traitors. He threatened to expose those who levelled baseless allegations against him.
Addressing his supports at his residence Khadse took potshots at Devendra Fadnavis saying he helped elevate him to the post of Maharashtra chief minister and that Fadnavis should not forget that.
Khadse’s recent statements are seen as an attempt to put pressure on the government as he is going to face an inquiry commission led by a retired high court judge within the next three month.
