Trinamool leaders though refuted the party’s involvement in the incident and instead, accused the saffron workers of inciting violence in the area.
In 2014, the BJP had won all 25 seats in Rajasthan by riding the ‘Modi wave’ and this time again it has saffronised the state with all seats in its bag.
The saffron party has polled 38.4 per cent of the total votes as against 21.9 per cent in the previous election.
If the BJP manages to win more than 15 seats, political legitimacy of the Trinamool government would be at stake.
