Elvish Yadav Receives ₹10 Crore Extortion Threat:The police have established protective measures for popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav as he received a death threat and he faced an extortion demand of ₹10 crore. The threat sent through an international WhatsApp number led Gurugram Police to begin their investigation while they established additional protective measures for the influencer’s home.
The situation has created major concern among fans and digital creators because the alleged sender claimed to use connections with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s criminal organization. Authorities are currently investigating the sources of the messages while they use technical monitoring methods to track down the individuals responsible for the threats.
Elvish Yadav Receives ₹10 Crore Extortion Threat
The police sources who provided information to the media reported that Elvish Yadav received a WhatsApp call from a foreign number on May 5. The call went unanswered but following that two the sender sent threatening text messages. The sender demanded payment of ₹10 crore to be completed within two days and he issued a warning that bad things would happen if the payment was not made.
Reports further claim that the same threatening message was also sent to Elvish Yadav’s father, escalating concerns over the family’s safety. The sender allegedly identified himself as “Randeep Malik” and claimed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Speaking with The Indian Express, Yadav’s father Ram Avtar said, “I am currently at home in my native village (in Rajasthan’s Alwar). These calls are not a new thing for him, but I will check on him and ask him about it now that police proceedings have started.”
“If we were outside (on the balcony) at that time, we could have lost our lives. We do not have any kind of enmity with anyone and neither have we received any call or message before this.”
“He then said I have a discount for you,” Yadav had recalled, noting that the demand was dropped to around Rs 40 lakh because the culprit admitted that he merely wanted the funds to buy a Ford Endeavour.

Police Protection and Investigation
Following the complaint, Gurugram Police reportedly registered an FIR under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including extortion and criminal intimidation. Investigators are tracing the foreign number used in the WhatsApp communication while forensic teams examine the digital evidence linked to the case.
Based on the complaint, an FIR was registered Saturday under Sections 308(2) (extortion) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Security measures at Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram home have undergone assessment according to reports which state that security measures need to take this step for precautionary purposes. The YouTuber’s family members told police officers that he currently stays away from Gurugram because he needs to fulfill professional shooting commitments.
Previous Security Threats
Elvish Yadav has experienced security threats before this incident. Unidentified assailants reportedly shot multiple outside his Gurugram home on August 2025. Police later arrested suspects in connection with that case.
The latest threat has once again brought attention to the growing security concerns surrounding high-profile influencers and public personalities in India.
