New Delhi, June 8 (IANS) Gurugram’s Masters’ Union School of Business on Monday announced that army veteran Captain Raghu Raman and Professor Stuart Diamond of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the US have joined its faculty.
While Captain Raman’s teaching area will focus on the leadership aspects of the business world, Professor Diamond will delve into the art of business negotiations.
“Masters’ Union will benefit from the unique and multi-sectoral experience Capt. Raman and Mr Diamond bring to the table. We are really excited that our students will have the opportunity to learn from their experiences,” Pratham Mittal, Project Director, Masters’ Union School of Business, said in a statement.
Captain Raman has an interesting career profile spanning over 25 years. He spent eleven years as an officer in the Indian armed forces, followed by several years in the corporate sector.
During his corporate stint, he has held various leadership positions at the Mahindra Group and Reliance Industries.
He was also tasked with creating and heading the National Intelligence Grid by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Professor Diamond has taught negotiations at Harvard Law School, and currently teaches at his alma mater, Wharton.
He has also advised on negotiation and cultural diversity to more than 40,000 people in 60 countries including corporates and government leaders.
In the past, he headed various companies in domains like medical services, airlines and agriculture.
Masters’ Union is a new technology-focused business school where CEOs, CXOs and some of India’s leading policymakers will mentor students.
Along with Captain Raman and Professor Diamond, some of the others who will be teaching at Masters’ Union School of Business include Arun Maira, Former Chairman, Boston Consulting Group; Satish Krishnan, Former MD, Financial Markets, Standard Chartered Bank; and Elkana Ezekiel, Former CMO, Samsung Electronics.
Shailaja Chandra, Former Chief Secretary, Government of Delhi; Malavika Harita, Former CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi Focus Network India; Narendra Jadhav, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Former Chief Economist, RBI, are some of the other noted business leaders who will teach the students of the business school.
